Review of TwistedWave

Since I first started using Clarity Vx, I've had the opportunity to put it through its paces on real-world audio projects. In my 'First Look' video (which can be found below), I demonstrated its capabilities on a file that I use in my recording classes.

While it's not perfect and still has some drawbacks, I have to say that Clarity Vx is a pretty impressive tool. Anyone with somewhat experienced ears will likely be able to hear the effects that are applied using this plugin. However, the core issue remains that people often try to achieve a good result by applying excessive processing to poor-quality original recordings.

Through my recording classes, client work, and audio reviews, I've encountered a wide range of problematic audio issues. That's why many clients prefer to work with raw, unprocessed audio. Unfortunately, once effects are applied to an audio file, it's impossible to 'undo' them, which can limit the options for future editing and mixing.

This is why I believe that it's essential to capture high-quality recordings at the source. Relying solely on effects and processing to salvage bad audio can lead to a range of problems throughout the production workflow, from setting up an appropriate recording space to capturing the audio effectively and paying attention to input levels to prevent distortion.

When I first heard about Clarity Vx, my initial reaction was skeptical. It seemed like just another noise reduction tool promising to eliminate unwanted background sounds. However, after using it on a variety of projects, I've been impressed by its capabilities and flexibility.

Overall, while Clarity Vx is not without its flaws, I believe that it's a valuable addition to any audio engineer's toolkit.
